Nagpur Bureau: It’s a matter of great pride for the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIMN) to throw its gates open for the world and view the ultra-modern facility that has been developed in record time. IIMN, which was established in 2015, is the fastest growing business school with best of the facility and faculty.
It’s a huge honour for IIMN that hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind has granted his consent to inaugurate the new campus at MIHAN on May 8th at 4.30pm. Honourable Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Industries Shri Subhash Desai, Leader of the Opposition Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Shri Devendra Fadnavis will be the guests of honour on the occasion.
IIMN started operations from its brand-new state-of-the-art campus from November 2021. The 132 Acre Campus, developed in close proximity of the Multi Product International Cargo Hub And Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN), is designed to cater to 668 students in its first phase. The campus has been designed to minimize the environmental footprint while facilitating learning both inside and outside the classroom.
With natural ventilation in each area and designed as a 4 Star Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment for Large Developments (GRIHA LD) rated sustainable campus, the institute’s architecture preserves all existing trees and a teak forest on the Northern side.
Courtyards & streets, planned by the traditional Indian style, provide spaces and mandatory shade to the north – south oriented buildings minimizing energy consumption. The central zone is vehicle free. Currently, IIMN has 20 high-tech classrooms and 24 training and seminar rooms along with a 400 Seater Convention Centre.
The holistic business school, with exquisite recreational, residential, sports and dining facilities is emerging in a big way as institute for excellence. IIMN not only conducts the flagship MBA programme but has a plethora of programmes like Ph.D, Ph.D (Executive), MBA programme for Working Professionals at Nagpur as well as Pune Campus, Executive Education Programme at its futuristic campus. The institute also houses InFED (IIMN Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development) its business incubator which helps create an ecosystem for entrepreneurs and associated stakeholders through national and international connections.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Apart from all the IIM Nagpur scholarships extended to the weaker sections of the society, IIM Nagpur, with the aim to encourage meritorious students and the students from economically weaker backgrounds to pursue PGP (Full Time) programme, has initiated 2 different scholarships:
• IIM Nagpur Merit Scholarship
• IIM Nagpur Need-cum-Merit Scholarship .The institute will be awarding scholarships to 20 students (10 students in each category).
Candidates selected for the scholarship will receive a complete waiver for the tuition fee for the two-year programme. This policy is applicable from the 2022-24 batch.
CONVOCATION ON APRIL 24
IIM Nagpur will be conducting 4th, 5th and 6th Convocation on April 24 at 10.45 am. The convocation is being held for three batches at one go as the ceremony for earlier batches was delayed due to the pandemic. IIM Nagpur has invited students of batch 2018-20, 2019-21, 2020-22 for the convocation. A total of 424 students will be awarded the degree during the convocation ceremony which will be graced by Shri S N Subrahmanyan, CEO & MD of Larsen & Toubro, as the chief guest. Shri C P Gurnani, Chairman IIM Nagpur, Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director IIM Nagpur & Members of Board of Governors will grace the convocation ceremony.
The prestigious IIM Nagpur gold medal for best scholastic performance and gold medal for best all-round performance will be given away during the convocation ceremony.
Besides these, the sponsored awards like the Canara Bank Award for Excellence Gold Medal will be conferred on MBA student excelling in Finance (Batch: 2020-22), Bank of Baroda Achievers Award for Best in Academics for 2021-22, Best Sportsperson for 2021-22, Best All Rounder for 2021-22 will be conferred on students during the pre-convocation ceremony.
