Centre’s Vaccination Policy – a total mess: Anant GadGil

Mumbai bureau : Coming down heavily on Modi Sarkar’s Vaccination policy, the Congress Party’s National Panel Spokesperson ANANT GADGIL has said that : Maharashtra’s Health Minister Shri Tope’s today’s statement that only 3 days stock of vaccine is left & Centre has not yet supplied the required stock clearly indicates a deliberate design to malign Maharashtra’s image.

Ideally, Centre should have given more stock to Maharashtra, not only that but Central Govt should have permitted Maharashtra Govt. to entirely vaccinate most affected districts instead of insisting on plus 60 or 45 plus pre morbidity citizens. Also, the Vaccine producing capacity of Bharat Bio & Serum together , per news report is 2.5 Cr per year. At this rate it will take years for every Indian to be vaccinated. Neither the Centre is allowing the earlier nor are they permitting foreign Pharma companies who have successfully produced the vaccine to enter the Indian market.

Gadgil also raises the question as to how come there are no corona cases in election bound states & why entire National media is only talking about corona spread in Maharashtra ? He has also raised another question as to why the Hon’ P M not do “on-line” campaign when the same P M is advocate of “on-line” for every small thing ? Has anyone heard P M or Home Minister appealing to people to maintain “ Social Distancing “ in any of their election rallies ? Gadgil said.
